Common questions.

How do I get started?

You can book a free 15-minute consultation through my Jane profile, or send a message using the form above. The consult is a relaxed, no-commitment conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Do you offer in-person and virtual sessions?

Yes! I see clients in-person in Kelowna, BC, and virtually for anyone across British Columbia. Both options offer the same quality of care.

How long are sessions?

I offer 50-minute and 85-minute individual sessions. The right length depends on your needs and preferences and we can discuss this during your free consultation.

Do you work with teens?

Yes, I work with teens aged 13 and up, as well as adults of all ages. I have experience working with athletes and high achievers navigating body image, anxiety, and self-esteem.

What does HAES mean?

Health at Every Size (HAES) is a weight-inclusive, evidence-informed framework that centers well-being and body acceptance rather than weight loss. It recognizes that you are so much more than a body and deserve care that looks at your whole well-being, not just a number on a scale. HAES promotes compassionate, respectful care and supports practices like intuitive eating, joyful movement, and building a more trusting relationship with your body.

Can I work with you if I have an eating disorder?

Yes! I work with individuals navigating eating disorder recovery or quasi-recovery who are not in immediate crisis (no diagnosis required). In some cases, I may require clients to work with a registered dietitian while we engage in counselling to ensure more comprehensive care.

If you are currently experiencing an active eating disorder and need a higher level of care, I'm happy to help connect you with inpatient programs or treatment services that may be more appropriate at this stage. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and we can explore what level of support may be the best fit.

Is therapy covered by insurance?

Many extended health benefit plans cover sessions with a Registered Social Worker (RSW). I recommend checking with your provider about your specific coverage before booking.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who may have financial barriers to accessing therapy. Please reach out directly to discuss availability and options.
